Observation of stress fields in the cutting unit

An example of ultrasonic processing that can be performed without applying significant stress to the workpiece!

Our company handles the design and manufacturing of ultrasonic application processing machines, the production and sale of ultrasonic dedicated tools, and contract processing of brittle materials and new materials using ultrasonic processing machines. This document provides a detailed explanation with images regarding the observation of stress fields in cutting units. In conventional processing, it can be confirmed that a large force is applied to the workpiece during processing. In contrast, it can be confirmed that ultrasonic processing is performed without applying a large force to the workpiece compared to conventional processing. [Contents] ■ Polarized Imaging - Observation of Stress Fields - ■ Conventional Processing ■ Ultrasonic Processing *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

About Ultrasonic Processing: For Shortening Processing Time and Reducing Costs! *Video Available

For processing hard and brittle materials or difficult-to-machine materials! Gakusho's ultrasonic technology will solve your problems.

At Gakusho Co., Ltd., we offer ultrasonic contract processing. When using an ultrasonic spindle at 40 kHz, it generates ultrasonic vibrations at a rate of 40,000 times per second (with an amplitude of 2μm to 6μm) along with rotational motion, making it suitable for processing hard and brittle materials as well as difficult-to-machine materials. By finely breaking down brittle materials during processing, we minimize damage to the workpiece and enable high-quality machining. Additionally, by reducing processing time and machining resistance, we extend the tool life, which leads to cost reduction. The use of ultrasonic machining allows for the creation of fine deep holes in hard and brittle materials and difficult-to-machine materials, which is challenging with other methods. 【Features】 - Improved quality by finely breaking down brittle materials during processing - Cost reduction through shortened processing time and reduced machining resistance - Achieving fine deep hole machining in hard and brittle materials and difficult-to-machine materials using ultrasonic machining *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

"What are sound waves?" Applications in precision and microprocessing *Video available

Introducing how ultrasound brings about effects that enable precision and fine processing!

At Gakusho Co., Ltd., we perform precision and fine processing of high-hardness brittle materials such as ceramics, glass, sapphire, zirconia, and single crystal silicon, which are difficult to process using conventional methods, by utilizing ultrasonic processing technology. Ultrasound is used in various fields such as fish finders, radar, sensors, and cleaning. Here, we will introduce what ultrasound is, the effects it brings, and how it enables precision and fine processing. 【What are sound waves?】 Sound waves are "waves transmitted by vibrating objects to their surroundings." Sound waves are generated when a sound source vibrates. 【What is ultrasound?】 Generally, ultrasound refers to high-frequency sound waves that are outside the audible frequency range for humans. In specialized fields such as engineering, it is recognized as "sound waves not intended to be heard by the human ear" and "sound waves that can be applied to certain tasks." In other words, generating ultrasound means that high-frequency vibrations are produced, which can be applied to precision and fine processing.
